Split Ledger for QuickBooks Online
One receipt can serve several companies. Split Ledger reads it, lets you decide the split, and files each share to that company's QuickBooks Online.
What it does
- Snap a receipt. Take a photo with your phone, or upload a photo or PDF from anywhere.
- Check what the AI read. The vendor, date and total appear for you to confirm or correct before anything is filed. Taxes can be split out separately when you choose.
- Split it across your companies. Assign any amounts you choose to each company — even, weighted, or a single company.
- File each share to that company's QuickBooks Online. Each share is filed as a Purchase in that company with the receipt image attached.
- Keep a copy in your Google Drive. The receipt is also saved to your Google Drive alongside the QuickBooks entry.
How it works with QuickBooks
- Connect each company separately. Use Connect to QuickBooks once per company. Each connection is limited to that company's books.
- Unmapped categories go to Uncategorized Expense. Categories that don't match a line in your chart of accounts are filed under Uncategorized Expense, so nothing is dropped.
- Disconnect anytime. Use Disconnect from QuickBooks in Settings. Receipts already filed stay in QuickBooks.
